Really? I didn't expect that at all. But thanks for letting me know, feedback is always much appreciated! I, too, could not keep it under the limit, not for the life of me. I ended up three words short but only thanks to my awesome beta, cosmo_naught - without her, this would read not nearly as smooth or concise :).
Kudos for at least trying to match authors! I can't do short fic which is why I didn't sign up for this event in the first place, but then this pinch-hit fell into my lap and the prompts were too shiny to not give them a try. But I had too many other commitments to do the guessing game or to even keep up with all the entries. Maybe I can come back after big bang claims and work my way back. Did you participate?
