Hello, flingbees! With Season 10 well underway and

spn_masquerade in full swing, we cordially invite you to bask in fic and art in this new round of

spnspringfling!

This is a rapid-fire, double-blind, anonymous exchange challenge, in which you have a brief set of prompts, a week to work, and a lower AND upper limit on the size of your work.

We are allowing art as well as fic. Remember: in your sign-up, you won't be able to specify whether you'd prefer to receive art or fic, nor will you need to state whether you write or create art -- the prompts will be assigned regardless.

Pairings (Please list three! Can be any SPN or CWRPF pairing/moresome, OR you may specify "gen" (SPN or RPF) and your character/s of choice. You can specify "no NC-17" after a pairing if you would rather not receive explicit porn, but you can't ask for a specific rating.)
1: Jared & Jensen, gen
2: Sam/Crowley, no NC-17
3: Genevieve/Danneel

Prompts (Please list three very short very simple prompts, no longer than a sentence)
a: Clothes-swapping
b: Mistaken identity
c: "Ten bucks says you won't do it."

Can do: All slash, SPN het, all gen

Cannot do: RPF het, John-fic, Sam/Gabriel

You will be matched according to the other participant's 'pairings' and your 'can/cannot do'.

When you get your assignment, please let us know that you've received your sign-up, and then pick 1, 2, or 3 from the pairings, and choose any or all from the prompts, and either:

-write a fic between 500 and 2500 words, or
-create a piece of art (drawn art, graphics, manips, etc are all permissible) that you spend more than approx. 30 mins on but is not more than one image, or, if a comic-style, not more than three simple panels, or, if you're a vidder, not more than 2 mins long. This is obviously harder to enforce at either end than wordcount, so we trust artists to work within the spirit of the challenge.

You can pick any of your assignment's pairings to go with any of their prompts; e.g. for the example above, you could do Sam/Crowley clothes-swapping, or a Jared & Jensen gen piece about mistaken identity, or any other permutation (such as: Adrianne/Genevieve "Ten bucks says you won't do it" clothes-swapping, with a touch of mistaken identity). The prompter can't insist any prompt goes with any pairing!

As you can see, the sign-up form isn't very specific or detailed. That's on purpose, as part of the fun of the exchange is seeing what your anonymous creator will come up with given only loose guidelines. You get to create whatever you want that fits into your prompter's requests, and the same goes for your creator! We'll make sure you've listed at least one pairing in common with your prompter's requests.

When you have created your work, you must send it to us at spnspringfling@gmail.com:

-for fic, fully coded with HTML tags in the text as a .txt, .rtf, .doc file, or link to gdoc
-for art, the piece attached to the email OR a link to where it's hosted on an anonymous site such as tinypic.com (not your personal Photobucket or Livejournal space.)

We will post the works anonymously using the mod account over the course of a week. One week after the last work is posted, we'll post a masterlist of reveals.

REMEMBER: you receive your prompts anonymously (i.e. you don't know who you're creating for until it's posted) as well as the works being posted anonymously so you don't know who created for you until reveals. It's a double-blind challenge!
