Reading fic where Sam mentions he wanted Dean to come to Stanford is always refreshing and portrays the Sam that I know (or at least want) canon Sam to be. But then you broke me with Dean's 'don't call me, I don't, I wouldn't' because omg that is sooo Dean. There is just so much to pick out and love here: Sam's texts even though he's not sure Dean is even seeing them, being the only way he can maintain that connection with his brother; the imagery when they're finally reunited again; that line that forgetting about Dean is impossible and it'd be way easier to do just about anything else.
I felt like you really nailed both brothers here in a bittersweet way. Really beautiful writing and a great start to spring fling.
