The mental image of this darkly powerful Jared prowling around the city while the rest of the world passed obliviously by was really striking for me, and what better entity to be hunting than a Jensen who doesn't want to be chained but doesn't particularly want to get away either?

Because there's definitely a whole lot going on in the background of this one that I quite possibly should have written instead of leaving it to the imagination. *laughs* Suffice it to say that Jensen's dig about Salem says a surprising amount about how long they've known each other. They've got history to spare (and still can't get enough of each other).
