ADORE. post-apocalyptic fic is my bread and butter and it's like you reached into the far corners of my brain and put everything i love into this story. the cities burning. the life under the surface of the earth (and under their surface oh my heart. my heart). just. the undercurrent here, the feeling that i get that they're staying alive for each other, that there's this internal, never spoken thing.
this line: Sam looks at Dean like he's seeing him for the last time and is trying to memorize his soul. He looks at Dean like he's seeing him for the first time but recognizes him all the same. i had to stop there. read it and re-read it because yeah. i love it (like gravity).
and eternal winchesters! bearing witness as all else explodes or fizzles out or just plain melts away, always within reach of each other. wow. what a wonderful gift. thank you so so much.
