first of all, darling mysterious author, i'm so sorry it took me a few days to read this beauty. please forgive me! i've been excited and giddy about this ever since i saw it was posted & read the first few paragraphs, honestly. ♥
NOW. i don't even know where to start. i almost want to scream the worst cliche at you, which is, THIS IS EVERYTHING. because it 100% is. the first sentence was all it took for me to fall in love with this. the talk about miracles, and the fact that you mentioned them again; the fact that jensen turned out to be jared's miracle (or, well, ANOTHER miracle). and the talk about magic -- so intimate at parts, i couldn't even breathe. and all the lines about stars, oh my god, i'm pretty sure i died. reading this was like having an open wound that made me feel EVERYTHING. and honestly, it felt like a short story full of magic (in every sense), it felt like a short artsy movie, it legitimately felt like staring up at the night sky. and i have no clue how you managed that, but you did, and i admire it & you so much.
it felt a bit magical realism-y and i adored that as well. so many beautiful lines, witty funny deep, you name it, it's all in there somehow. be it in dialogue (which was amazing and i'm so happy and in love that you told a lot of the story through them) or narrative. i'm just, i'm in love.
this was beyond beautiful and i kind of want to cry. thank you so much, mysterious writer, you stole my heart and i think it's in good hands. wow. ♥♥♥
