Balthazar is one of my favourites, and I love what you've done with him here! He's got that impatience and arrogance down pat. I also loved how you have him think about the ways in which humans and angels coincide.

If you are stuck in an ape brain, use its apeness. Have a novel experience, for once in your sad little existence this was a great line in particular, and I love the whole concept of Balthazar forcing Samandriel to see beyond his nose. I also love how Samandriel is intrigued enough to come back. Really enjoyable, thanks.
