First off, this was disturbing but extremely well written! it was an interesting choice to write in the first-person; depending upon the reader's preferences, it could've been whichever two characters they desired. (Given that the narrator used the word "boy", I imagined the victim as Jared.) Our narrator is so frank, so willfully self-deceptive, he feels all the more cruel for it.
The blood and the narrator's arrogance: terrifying! And the title? The Carvery? PERFECT! Thank you, dear author. You did a masterful job!
