Oh dear anon, this is absolutely gorgeous!!! I love the bittersweet taste of this, of a love lost and the happy memories that feel so sad. The relationship between Sam and Dean was perfect; understated and supportive, but also so new after years apart. I really appreciated how Sam opened up to Dean about Jess and his plans for engagement, and how Dean was able to accept this and respond in a supportive and positive way.
The imagery and landscape you described was perfect, and I loved how you worked in the prompt. I especially liked the idea of Sam and Dean sitting in the wild flowers and taking in the landscape together, and then collecting the flowers and taking them to the Impala. The ending was just the right tone; quiet and you could feel their relationship strengthening, and it felt so in character for both Dean and Sam.
Such a beautifully written and heartfelt fic - I adored every last word of it. Thank you so very much for writing this for me! Take care, and I'm looking forward to finding out who you are too! :)
