Well thank *you* again, for this gift. The more I read it the more I get into all of the things you did with it, Rowena just kind of roughing everything up--the night, the timeline, oh, destiny (!) And I love what you did with yarrow, its weird presence and physical properties. Love some feverish Sam, too, and was surprised at how dark Rowena went. Love the way you call this a "strange hybrid"--I'm a big fan of strange hybrids.

And I think it's one of the best things about writing in community, or fancommunity, that we kind of lay out these fertile idea-fields for each other, a way of both conversing about a shared text and creating new ones.
