Absolutely no mistaking who did this one. :D Lovely work as always, mystery!artist! Love Sam's blissful expression, Sam's mouth, their body language, and even the back of Dean's head is perfect! But most of all, I love the coloring, from the deep blue near the bottom, to the starburst corona of light around Sam's head. Downright gorgeous. And their tats, wow, so beautifully executed.

I had a hard time finding a reference picture for that one. I think it’s a convention photo where Jared is sleeping on Jensen’s shoulder but I didn’t care: if it fits, it fits xD

Yeah! I wanted people to imagine a story from this detail. Sam being kidnapped by demons and they broke his tattoo or something. You can write 100 fics on this detail alone and there were zero description enclosed with the art, basically, you can imagine anything ♥

Hot and hearbreaking. Their names etched on each other's skin. Do not resuscitate and hopeless and a cage on Sam. The angel wings and the hash marks marking decades across Dean's. Still, the look on Sam's face isn't one of hopelessness and hopefully Dean's expression would match it. Gorgeous.

Hold on, let me put aside this paper bag I've been breathing into.....

I clicked on my messages before checking my flist today, since there were so many new ones, and ALL of them were said things like- OMG HAVE YOU SEEEEEEN YOUR GIFT ON SPRINGFLING????!!!! By the time I clicked over to my friends page, my hands were shaking. When I saw the TITLE of this, I made a really embarrassing squeaking noise, and now my dog is worried.

It's taking me forever to write this comment, because doing so means I have to scroll away from the Beautiful. Also, I keep googling tattoo meanings.

Where can I even begin??? The look on Sam's face, the demon wings on his arms curling around Dean, the bruises on them, the DNR (omg... the DNR, my HEART IS TRASHED), Sam's treasure trail, and his perfect, perfect navel, Deans FRECKLES ON HIS BACK, the scars through the tats, their perfect, perfect hair that makes you want to reach in and touch it with your fingertips, their matching Mary tribute tattooes. Everything. People, do you realize that the sparrow tattoo (on Dean) symbolizes loyalty and undying love to a single person????

Hello you!

To be honest, I had some doubt about this art because the prompt was “tattoos and piercings” and I didn’t include any piercings (or even any eye liner). I thought it didn’t fit for Sam and Dean except if they work undercover at a goth club (and as I couldn’t include any description it was hard to justify the piercing and the eye liner even if the boys would have looked SO good with make-up on ^^ )

Honestly, I didn’t know that but I drew a tattoo because Dean was supposed to have a swallow tattoo on his arm on the show (you can see it on some set photos of Phantom Traveler) but as it was too much work for the make up department, they dropped the idea, unfortunately. However, now that you are telling me that about the sparrow tattoo, it makes things even more interesting ^^;;

I think we pretty much all guessed who made this; and wow, what a picture it is!

I stared at it for a good long while, but I cannot decide which parts I like most. So I'll just list it off. I love their body language and Sam's expression in this. How they're tender but at the same time not. And the bruising! Really gripping, all of that. The color scheme is wonderful, too, so fitting and giving this such an intimate feel. And of course, the ink. Angel wings on Dean and demon wings on Sam, the hitlist underneath what I guess is Enochian, the devil's trap at Dean's neck, their carved initials on the back of his hand, just. Guh. Also, the scarred anti-possesion tattoo that Sam then had to replace on his other hand, I guess. And Dean has it at the same place, so maybe he got a second one just so they'd still match. *sob*

Speaking of mirrorring each other, do I see a second colt on Dean's forearm? And are the flowers on Sam's hip a match for Dean's bottle of poison? And the Mary Winchester tributes, oh god.

I don't even want to know what they're counting. Decades/centuries in hell, people they lost, days they were truly happy - all of it devastating when I think about it. And of course, the DNR with the flatline surrounding the caged bird. And the "hopeless" looks as if it could have been done at different times. Like, first there was hope and then not. *sound of my heart breaking*

This is so... I don't even. ♥.

Oh, and the Enochian thing (is it Enochian?), it looks like it's on the other side of him as well, just the other way around. Do you know what it says or did you pick it because it's pretty? Also, I wonder what they have right over their hearts. I think you should make this a 'verse! I could stare at it for hours.

Yes, it's Enochian but it doesn't mean anything. I used an Enochian font I found on the Internet and I wrote a bit everything and anything. I'm not a specialist. I wanted it to look like the Enochian sigils that are carved in their ribs.

Also, I wonder what they have right over their hearts.

This is absolutely stunning. The detailing is superb, the mood is just right in every way, and the more I look at the tattoos, the more I see and all of them are absolutely note perfect. I was afraid that the light around Sam’s head looked like a bit too much like a halo so I darken it a bit. When I started to work on the art, it was really bright. This is ... there aren't words. There really aren't. It's beautifully done, in terms of the actual art. But the thought that went into the tattoos. Dean's angel wings, Sam's devil wings. The cage. The broken anti-possession charm. The colt. The matching "RIP M.W." ones on their necks. Mother Mary on Dean's back. Do Not Resuscitate on Sam's chest. "DEAN" on Sam's fingers. Dean's poison. The Hell hashmarks on both of them. I'm sure I could pour over every inch of this for an hour and still not find every little detail that you put into it. I have never seen a piece of fanart with this level of creativity, thought, and attention to detail. Absolutely stunning.

I have tattoos and I can tell you that wimp or not, some places really hurt. The ribs are really painful, the foot, the elbows, and also below the arm -_____- OUCH! But Sam and Dean are tough guys, I’m sure they survived ;)
