clarification on signups

Hi, flingers! We've got a few signups with character or pairing-specific prompts. Remember: your prompts cannot demand certain characters/pairings come attached to them. So for instance:

Pairings:
1. Meg 1/Meg 2
2. Jared/Jared/Jensen/Jensen
3. Adrianne/Jess

Prompts:
1. A crew of Jareds and Jensens fall in love on a U boat during WWII Das Boot AU
2. Demon!Jess's [character's] motto is: "fags and weed, glue and speed, but I draws the line at crack!"
3. Meg grows space tentacles

Please check that your prompts don't demand certain characters fulfill them, and edit your comment as necessary -- or that you're happy for your gift to centre on something other than the character-specific prompt. In the above example, that might mean art of Sam and Alastair sipping margaritas in Kavos with a submarine far off on the horizon, or fic in which the entire population of Hell plus angels use their own tentacles for spaceship fuel.

So, ehm. I'm trying to fill in the form and am confused about the can do/can't do section. As I understand it, I should put pairings or genres here, but I see other people listing several issues here. But this is not information the potential creator would see, is it? You only exchange the chosen pairings and prompts, right? Or is this the way to mention squicks?

Right, your creator sees only the pairing and prompt section. Only we mods use your can/cannot do section.

We do pay attention to the nature of your requests - so if you say you can't offer, say, noncon, tentacles or BDSM, then we're propably not going to assign you to someone who specifically lists that they CAN do heavy kink and deathfic. Obviously it's not a perfect system, but if you get a bottom!Jensen fic when you strictly only read top!Jensen, we hope that there'll be more fic and art from the challenge that you'll love!
