I am practically incoherent here, this is so startlingly lovely dear anon artist. Honestly, it's like you reached right into my heart and plucked out some of my favourite things - oh God, the closeness, the way they're touching and interacting with each other, the clasped hands, almost close enough to share breath, I can't even explain what this picture does to me. It's honestly superb, and I'm having a lot of feelings just looking at it over and over, and seeing all the beautiful details that you've added. I can't say how much I appreciate the wounds on Sam, the bandages on Dean, they give such an impeccable sense of conflict survived and endured (I love how instantly I knew which prompt it was).

I especially appreciate the close focus they have on each other - that look on Sam's face, the peace that's coming off them both, the way Dean's checking (always) to see how badly Sam's hurt and Sam's sparing him the worry, and (not to sound like a broken record or anything) just the sheer intimacy and warmth of their positioning, there's such an indescribable tenderness to it, a shutting out of what has passed and a focus in the moment.

I'm afraid I don't know enough art to talk about the technical bits, but I can say that the choices you made complement it superbly - the lighting on Sam's shirt, that almost angelic glow, and the way it's hitting the back of Dean's neck, and illuminating the background is so beautiful, that if I could stop looking at Sam and Dean, I'd be staring at it. Also their faces, their faces are so great, and again, that touch of hand to hand.

Also man-bun. I think that stands alone and no more needs to be said. I am 1000% for it. You've probably noticed how pleased I am with this gift - thank you so much, it is absolutely stunning, and you are super talented.

Thank you for the wonderful comment and it was really a lot of fun to paint this, your prompts left a lot of room for me to try some things out - I really liked them btw, and obviously you know which I chose. I've never drawn Sam/Dean so this was a first! Thank you very much for the amazing inspiration.
