This is absolutely gorgeous, gifter! I love it so much: the combination of haziness and precision, with the high detail of their faces and the vague figures in the light, and the way the feathers pick up the light and bring it into the darker parts, and sort of thematize that combination of fuzziness and fine detail. And the sheen on Sam's eye is lovely, especially the way its openness contrasts with the hiddenness of Death's eye. It's a wonderfully meditative piece, sad but very peaceful.

Also, on a lighter note, I love the faint plaid lines of Sam's shirt. Even in Death, there must be plaid.

I have a guess about who you are, but whether or not it turns out to be right, thank you for this beautiful gift. It is absolutely perfect. I'm going to be looking at it over and over again.

Wow - this is glorious! I adore the soft and dreamy textures of your pencils here, and the shading is beautiful, especially how you've shown the figures in all of the light.

You've captured the structure of Death's face wonderfully, those hollowed out cheeks and sunken eyes. I love love love Sam's hair and that gleam of light in his eyes, and the lines around his lips. Damn, this is just stunning all round!!! And now Ive just seen those feathers. I could look at this all day and still spot something new.

Sam looks so weary and ill... This is really haunting and so moving, the way Sam seems to be listening to Death whispering, coaxing, comforting... Death's expression almost paternal and fond.

I love this. Sam's eye especially is just haunting, so thoughtful and withdrawn like he's swallowed up inside himself - and especially when combined with how serene and accepting Death looks, it tells a real story. You've done such a lovely job with the placement as well, and the lighting on Sam's face, the whole thing makes me want to look at it for hours.

Let me see if I can get you a print that's less expensive than Soc6! (What size would you dig?) AND THANK YOU! Those prompts were toughies, to be honest. I finally figured out they were poems, and even then, I was challenged! But I love drawing Sam (duh!) and Death, so that led the way. Pithy stuff!
